Alfheim (Lake of Light) Region Summary

Alfheim is one of the first realms that players can visit. A large majority of the collectibles found in this realm can be found on two beaches within the realm's main lake early on, allowing players to collect up to 80% of the collectibles prior to even finishing the quest Light of Alfheim.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Artifact Locations

Artifact #1

1	When you first exit from the channel into the lake, head right with your boat and dock with a each on the eastern side of Alfheim. Take a right immediately afterwards and activate the mechanism – dash through the gate before it closes again.
2	In the next area, use the contraption in the center. After activating it, hit the root at the bottom blocking the gate, which will cause it to rise. Before it closes, retrieve your axe and throw it at the top root to free the gate. Rush through and head to the right of the new area, destroying the roots blocking your way. There'll be another set of roots you can destroy on the other side of the wooden bridge – destroy these to reveal the artifact next to a dead body.

When you first exit from the channel into the lake, head right with your boat and dock with a each on the eastern side of Alfheim.

Take a right immediately afterwards and activate the mechanism – dash through the gate before it closes again.

In the next area, use the contraption in the center. After activating it, hit the root at the bottom blocking the gate, which will cause it to rise.

Before it closes, retrieve your axe and throw it at the top root to free the gate. Rush through and head to the right of the new area, destroying the roots blocking your way.

There'll be another set of roots you can destroy on the other side of the wooden bridge – destroy these to reveal the artifact next to a dead body.

Artifact #2

The second artifact can be found on the shores of the western beach. Head left as soon as you exit the channel where you'll find the beach next to a statue depicting an Elf.

1	Head to the beach on the western side of Alfheim, where you'll find the artifact on the right side of the beach beside a body.

Artifact #3

After defeating the Stone Ancient and restoring power to the light bridges, make your way across the light bridge on the left where players will find the artifact next to a dead body at the end.

Artifact #4

1	After you manage to get back to the surface after descending to the underground caverns, head back down the elevator, where the artifact can be found in one of the cells.

In the underground cavern you explore, the artifact can be found inside of the room across from where you use a wheel to lower the floor.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Mystic Gateway Locations

Mystic Gateway #1

Only accessible once you have completed the quest Magic Chisel, the one and only Mystic Gateway in Alfheim can be found in a Hidden Chamber of Odin where Valkyrie Olrun can also be found.

1	With you boat, you'll be able to dock on a small beach on the western area of Alfheim after you exit out from the channel and into the lake.
2	Enter the central cave near where you dock on the beach. You'll need to have finished the Magic Chisel Journey in order to break the seal locking the door. From there, head down the elevator at the end to gain access to the Mystic Gateway.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Shop Locations

Shop #1

The first shop that players can come across is Brok's shop, found at the first beach that players will get to after exiting Tyr's Temple.

Shop #2

After progressing through the Alfheim, players will be able to unlock a light bridge that leads from the lake and deeper into Alfheim. The second shop, which is manned by Sindri, can be found by heading down a flight of stairs to the right of the light bridge's head near the entrance into the temple.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Lore Marker Locations

Lore Marker #1

This Lore Marker is easily found when exiting the Realm Travel Room and its temple. You'll find the marker to the right of you as players walk across the bridge with standing statues, placed on the face of a rock that is placed beside of a statue.

Lore Marker #2

The second Lore Marker can be found near the end of the quest Light of Alfheim. Once players reach the point where they can knock down a crystal hanging from a chain to open up a path that leads to the light bridge to exit the area, they can instead make use of this crystal to activate the Lore Marker.

1	After knocking down the crystal from the hanging chain, there is a socket that players can insert the crystal into just beyond the doorframe where the crystal hung over. Place the crystal in this socket and shoot the crystal with Light Arrows to activate the Lore Marker, ready for reading.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Odin's Raven Locations

Odin's Raven #1

The first of two Ravens in Alfheim can be found just as you exit the channel that leads into the lake from where you first enter the real of Alfheim. With your boat, head to a beach west of where you exit the channel, where you can find the Raven sitting on top of the pillar with an image of a Light Elf above it.

1	Reach the small beach with your boat.
2	From the beach, head left and into a cave where players will find an opening from which they can stand in and throw their Leviathan Axe towards the Raven to destroy it.

Odin's Raven #2

The last Odin's Raven in Alfheim can be found above the arena where Valkyrie Olrun can be fought. This Raven can only be reached once players have finished the quest Magic Chisel.

1	Dock at the small beach west of where you exit from the channel leading to the lake.
2	Enter the central cave near where you dock on the beach. You'll need to have finished the Magic Chisel Journey in order to break the seal locking the door. From there, head down the elevator at the end to gain access to the arena where the Raven is in.

Raven Locations | How to Find All Odin's Ravens

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Valkyrie Locations

The only Valkyrie fight in the Alfheim realm can be found in close proximity to the realm's only Mystic Gateway and one of two Odin's Ravens. Similar to those two, players will need to have completed the quest Magic Chisel first in order to gain access to the Hidden Chamber of Odin they are hidden in.

1	Dock at the small beach west of where you exit from the channel leading to the lake.
2	Enter the central cave near where you dock on the beach. You'll need to have finished the Magic Chisel Journey in order to break the seal locking the door. From there, head down the elevator at the end to gain access to Valkyrie Olrun's Arena.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Nornir Chest Locations

Nornir Chest #1

Found in a hidden area of an optional beach that players can go to, east of where they exit the channel and enter the lake. The chest contains an Idun Apple, making it a good chest to run after as soon as players enter Alfheim.

1	The first two Runes that you can hit are those on the left and right side of the chest.
2	The last Rune is hidden behind the player, attached above to the archway they pass through.

Nornir Chest #2

The next Nornir Chest can be accessed after players reactivate the light bridge and gain access to Sindri's shop. The chest can be found in a room on the other side of the bridgehead from where you find Sindri's shop.

1	The first two runes that you can hit are outside of the corridor the chest is in – it is recommended that players hit the run inside of the corridor first with a long-ranged axe throw before gunning after the last two runes outside to unlock the Nornir Chest.

Nornir Chest #3

The third Nornir Chest in the realm can be found when you have access to the underground section. You'll find the chest easily at the end of the "bridge" in the underground area, near a wheel.

1	First, use the wheel and lower the sections to its lowest point. Use your Leviathan Axe to freeze the mechanism in place Turn around then to find the first rune.
2	The last thing to do is to retrieve your axe to raise the platforms again – use the wheel again to lower just the central part of the platform. Freeze the mechanism in place and hop down to the lowered central platform, where you'll see another rune ahead. Turn around to find the last rune, and retrieve your axe to raise the platform and gain access to the chest.

First, use the wheel and lower the sections to its lowest point. Use your Leviathan Axe to freeze the mechanism in place Turn around then to find the first rune.

The last thing to do is to retrieve your axe to raise the platforms again – use the wheel again to lower just the central part of the platform. Freeze the mechanism in place and hop down to the lowered central platform, where you'll see another rune ahead.

Turn around to find the last rune, and retrieve your axe to raise the platform and gain access to the chest.

Nornir Chest #4

The last Nornir Chest that players can find can only be accessed towards the end of The Light of Alfheim quest.

1	After reaching the point where players can knock off a blue crystal from the chain it's hanging off of, they must take the crystal that drops up the stairs and onto a pedestal that faces the closed doors of the temple. They must then shoot Atreus' new Light Arrows at the crystal, which activates a light bridge up above.
2	With the light bridge activated, climb up to the platform above and peek through an open "window" at the right side of the chest. You'll see two runes – quickly hit these two and turn around to hit the last rune, unlocking the chest.

Alfheim (Lake of LIght) Legendary Chest Locations

Legendary Chest #1

The first Legendary Chest can be immediately sought after as soon as the players exits from the channel and into the lake for the first time. The chest will contain the Amulet of Kvasir, one of the best Talismans in-game.

1	Head to the beach east of where you exit out into the Lake with your boat. There will be a locked gate to the right of the beach, which can be opened by the mechanism near the beach.
2	Clear out the next area of enemies and activate the mechanism in the middle of the area. As soon as you activate it, throw the axe to the bottom root, and once the gate lifts, throw the axe once again to the top root.
3	Pass through the gate and head right – clear out the roots blocking your way and cross the bridge. Clear the roots in the shadowed portion of the beach below, and enter a corridor that will be revealed with the destruction of the roots to find the chest. Use the wheel to move the roots up above until you can no longer move the wheel. Release it, and move to the right of the wheel – here, you'll be able to wait for the roots to align, allowing you to throw your axe and hit all three root points to release the chest.

Legendary Chest #2

This legendary chest is found when you reach the underground section of the game. As soon as the platform you are on stops and you finish off the enemies that come after you, you can turn around and head to the right-most section of the area to find the chest.

1	You will find a small room to the right where, if you enter it, you can see the roots in the chest room. Throw your axe first into the first root, then exit back to the mechanism that should open the door. Summon your axe back while facing the room to hit the second root, which should be enough to open the door's room.

Legendary Chest #3

This chest can be found in the arena you fight the Stone Ancient in. The chest can be interacted with once you finish off the Ancient and any other enemies in the area.

Legendary Chest #4

The fourth Legendary Chest appears near the end of the quest Light of Alfheim during the section where you have to bring down a blue crystal from a chain it's hanging from. In the same area, guarded by two enemies, you'll find the chest.

Legendary Chest #5

Finally, the last chest in the realm can be easily found in the western beach from where you exit the channel to enter the lake on your boat. Dock on the beach in that area and head into the right-most cave path until you reach the chest, situated on a small area overlooking scenery.

Alfheim (Lake of Light) Realm Tear Encounter Locations

Realm Tear #1

The first Realm Tear that players can find in the realm requires that they first progress through the quest Light of Alfheim until they manage to get Light Arrows. From there, players will need to travel to a small beach to the west of the channel exit that leads into the lake.

1	From the beach, players will need to head into a small cave left of where they dock at the beach. Players will then need to shoot Atreus' new Light Arrows at the blue crystals on the ground, which reveals the Realm Tear for use.

Realm Tear #2

The last Realm Tear in Alfheim can be found at a beach to the east of where you exit the channel to enter the lake with a boat. The beach there leads up a path to the right that players can go through to access the tear.

1	At the beach when you dock, head right. The gate ahead can be opened using the mechanism near the beach – once you activate the mechanism, immediately rush to the other side and move through the now opened gate before it closes again.
2	Once the enemies have been cleared on the other side, you will find another gate with roots blocking it from moving. In order to move past this and through to the tear, activate the mechanism near the center of the area and immediately target the bottom root. It will allow the gate to lift high enough for you to retrieve your axe to destroy the upper root, which fully releases the gate.

Success will result in the reward of either a Broken Witch Heart or a Broken Moon Pearl. Although you can enter and complete an Alfheim as many times as you like, you can only get the reward of a Broken Witch Heart/Moon Pearl once; every other time you complete it, you will instead receive an Arcade Bullet.
