Oven Fried Green Beans Recipe
What is a super simple way to get my kids to eat vegetables? CHEESE! If you've followed me long enough you know I'm all about that cheese!
FromBacon Cheeseburger Cauliflower Casserole,toCheesy Cauli Tots,Cheesy Zucchini Bites, toCheesy Antipasto Stuffed Chicken, it's always going to win my family members over with cheese in it!
These wouldn't be their typical choice for dinner, after all, they are children and would prefer french fries! But I had to try. I even told them they were a new kind of french fry!
They didn't buy that, but they did all enjoy this simple recipe of oven fried green beans and my youngest even asked for seconds. So to me that's winning, especially with picky eaters!
Crispy Green Bean Fries ?
I can't tell you they crisp up just like a french fry because obviously they have no flour and are baked, not fried, but they are finger food material and it works for us as a simple and delicious side dish for dinner.
This recipe is adapted from mywhich my kids love, even the cauliflower!
I figure you can serve most any veggie with some cheese and it might win my kids over, maybe yours too!

Can you make them in the air fryer?
Yes, you can make fried green beans in the air fryer!
Just set the air fryer to 400°F. Then, place the green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook the green beans for about 5 minutes, flip them over and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
How do you store fried green beans?
If you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, but for best results, eat them the same day you make them.

Oven Fried Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ teaspoon salt or garlic salt
- 12 ounces fresh green beans
- ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- optional: cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes, lemon zest, black pepper
Instructions
Oven Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a small bowl whisk the oil, garlic, egg and salt together.
Toss the egg mixture on the green beans and coat well.
Sprinkle in Parmesan on the green beans and toss gently.
Place evenly on a greased large baking sheet pan.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
To crisp, heat a couple of minutes under broiler.
Air Fry Option
For air frying, cook at 400°F for 5 minutes then flip the green beans and cook another 3-5 minutes more.
